Announcing a new Meetup for The Bellevue Entrepreneur Alliance!
What: July Entrepreneur Meetup When: Thursday, July 8, 2010 7:00 PM Price: $5.00 per person Where: Bellevue Regional Library 1111 110th Ave NE Bellevue, WA 98004 425-214-6016 Hi Everybody, This meetup will follow the format of the coffee talk series - but I've removed "coffee talk" from the title because it won't be at a coffee shop, but in the library. And don't let the word "library" scare you off either, many a great idea have been born in a library. Plus, it's quiet, roomy, and comfortable. We have the big room again, which can seat up to 100 people, so bring your friends. For those of you who aren't familiar with the coffee talk format because you haven't attended a meetup before, here you go: 1. Introductions: A. Tell us who you are - your name, your background, whatever else you want to share B. What is your current line of business? Your day job, your startup business, whatever. C. What is your entrepreneurial project? Is it an idea? An existing business? Etc. D. What is your major challenge(s) you are facing in your project*? It could be intellectual property (protecting your ideas,) marketing (how to get the word out about your business,) or finance (how to manage money on a daily basis in your business.) *This is a good time to get feedback on your idea - pay attention to people's first reaction, because that's usually what you get in the marketplace! 2. General Discussion - after we get to know a little bit about each other, we find out what issues really matter from introductions, then the conversation usually just naturally flows there. It might be marketing, it might be sales, who knows? It's also a good way to find out what the trends are in the marketplace. 3. Networking - Now that you've listened to people talk about their business and their issues, you've most likely came up with ways in your mind that you can help them, they can help you, or you can partner. This is a time to swap business cards and make deeper connections. So that's the coffee talk format in a nutshell. And at only $5 to attend, you're guaranteed to get a return on your investment!
