My apologies for the short notice hear folks...but, this is our monthly meetup, and a quieter place by request! This meetup will take place at the Bellevue Library, in a room that holds about 16 people +/- so get your seat now if you want to be there at the June Coffee talk. We have been running coffee talk for the past few months, and have gotten some great feedback. Among them that coffee talk is a great place to test your idea and see if it can go any further than your mind - maybe all the way to the marketplace!

The format of this event will be similar to the past few coffee talks. We'll start with introductions:

1) Who you are - tell us a little bit about yourself as it relates to being an entrepreneur (your career track, your interests / passions, skills, etc.)
2) What is your business - if you have a day job and / or if you're currently working on your own startup.
3) What your primary business issue is - it could be intellectual property (protecting your business idea,) how to raise money, how to market and grow your business, or anything else you want to share.

Then, after everybody gets a chance to tell about themselves, we'll move on to our general discussion. During this time you're free to bring up whatever you care or are concerned about in your business and get feedback from the whole group. Like I mentioned above, people have used this time to test their business idea and use the group almost like a focus group (a group of people who give you honest feedback about your business or idea.) **One thing to note during this time is it really helps to bring a prototype. Don't worry too much about people stealing your idea, everybody has something else they are working on that consumes their time and passions. If you are concerned, however, bring an NDA (non-disclosure agreement) for them to sign. If you don't have one of these, contact me and I can provide a generalized one for you.

Lastly we'll close with networking. After talking to people for two hours you're bound to make connections with them and want to get to know them further, exchange business cards, ideas, or something totally unexpected. That's fine, and we encourage that! All in all, the meetup usually lasts around 2 hours, but you can stay for as long as you like - just keep your focus on getting value.

So if you haven't had a chance to attend a meetup with Bellevue Entrepreneur Alliance now is your chance to get involved and get your business going this summer! $5 to attend, which covers organizer fees and goes towards future speaking events for BEM members, like having the founders of Bacon Salt come and tell you all about how they started their massively successful retail business. If you don't get more than $5 in value from attending, I'll gladly refund your money.

Hope to see you there with entrepreneurial spirit and business or idea in tow.
